Key Issues

Keeping Rocklin Safe

Rocklin is a desirable community because it is known as a safe community. I am committed to ensuring that we devote the resources necessary to keep Rocklin safe and reduce crime. In recent years, I’ve personally heard of too many crimes — from breaking windows of cars parked in driveways to stealing mail — that chip away at our feeling of safety.

Increase Resident Involvement

As Rocklin has grown, too often I think residents feel disconnected from their city government. I will be an advocate for transparency and open government and will seek out residents to volunteer to share their expertise on task forces and committees that give residents the opportunity to get involved and have a greater say in your City’s policies.

Improve Our Quality of Life

Rocklin is a great place today and my family, like yours, calls Rocklin home because we have a good quality of life created by past community leaders. I am proud to have the support of seven former mayors and many other leaders who’ve invested their time to make Rocklin a great community. We can always improve and, as a Councilmember, I will work to find ways to build on their efforts, attracting new businesses and jobs, improving public safety, our roads and enhancing our parks.

Support Youth Sports

Rocklin calls itself a “Family Community” and one big reason is that we are a community of volunteers. Every year, thousands of people give their time to coach and support our children in a variety of athletic opportunities. Whether it’s coaching soccer with the Rocklin Youth Soccer Club, timing at a Rocklin Wave Swim meet, or leading a team for the Junior Thunder or Junior Wildcats, our residents selflessly give the children of our community a great experience. As a City, we should support these privately run youth sports activities

Partnering With All Our Schools

During the school year, more than 25,000 students are educated in Rocklin every day. Our City should lead efforts to partner with all the educational institutions in our community — from traditional public schools to charter schools to Sierra College and William Jessup University. I will promote efforts for all schools to collaborate on academic, extracurricular, and sports activities.

Responsible Financial Management

As a business owner for 20, I always kept a close eye on expenses to ensure I make the most of every dollar. As a Councilmember, I work to guard every taxpayer dollar and ensure that we are spending your tax dollars in the best, most efficient way possible. My top priorities are funding public safety, enhancing our parks and open space, and maintaining and repairing our roads and other infrastructure.
